The STA Series Standard Type is a Swing Type Torque & Angle Transducer that mounts between an Interchangeable Head Torque Wrench (IHTW) and its head, turning it into a real-time wireless torque and angle measurement, calibration, and data-logging tool. It ships in four head shapes covering the major IHTW head structures in use worldwide: European DIN Rectangular, Spigot/Round, Dovetail (Sturtevant Richmont), and Round “J” Shank (Stanley-Proto, Snap-on/CDI, UTICA, Tone, Tohnichi).

- Wireless Torque + Angle in One Unit: RF 2.4G (up to 20m) or Bluetooth (up to 15m) versions; angle measured over 0°-360° at 0.5° resolution; torque resolution 0.1% Tnom; static accuracy ±1% FSD (RF) / ±0.5% FSD (BT). RF version requires the DR-RF Dongle receiver.
- Optional Multi-Capacity Tool Kit: an STA-m + Handle kit with REB-85 and REB-120 extension bars converts one 20 Nm STA into 20 Nm, 85 Nm, and 120 Nm capacities (BT version only).
- Built-In Recalibration Discipline: swapping the head, the STA, or the wrench requires a fresh calibration – the system prompts for scale adjustment so torque, angle sensing, and control stay accurate.

- Once the head, the STA transducer, or the wrench is replaced, calibration is required to ensure the accuracy of torque, angle sensing, and control.
- After changing any of the heads, the STA, or the wrench, and recalibrating, a new indication prompts easy scale adjustment. This makes audible clicks visible and torque data collectible.
- RF or BT wireless transmission options are available.
- RF version requires a DR-RF DONGLE signal receiver.
- Customized sizes are acceptable.

STA Coding Principle
STA part numbers follow the format STA-[Input code][size]-[torque range]-[Output code][size], e.g. STA-RM-1-0005-RF-1. Input/output codes: RM/RF = Rectangular Male/Female, OM/OF = Round Male/Female, DM/DF = Dovetail Male/Female, JM/JF = Round “J” Shank Male/Female, TM/TF = Tohnichi Male/Female. Torque range codes span 0005 (0.5-5 Nm) through 1200 (120-1200 Nm) – see the diagram below for the full size and torque-range code tables.
